If you have spent time trying to find the option to allow you to connect your Windows Mobile phone to your Internet e-mail provider and are experiencing difficulties because they use non-standard port numbers, here’s how to do it ….
Simply append “:nnn” to the end of the end of the POP/SMTP/IMAP address string, in which nnn is the port number.
For example, if your e-mail provider (let’s assume it is email.com) uses the POP3 port of 110 for incoming e-mail and port 587 for outgoing SMTP mail, your strings will look like this ….
pop.email.com:110
smtp.email.com:587
This was introduced from Windows Mobile 6.
I hope this helps.
